Casella Waste Systems is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Billing Services to oversee the administration and optimization of our customer billing operations. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant billing processes, drives continuous improvement, and is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial and operational data. The successful candidate will lead a team of billing systems administrators and billing analysts to work cross-functionally to develop solutions that support the scalability and reliability of our billing operations and deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. Hiring Range: $100,000-$130,000 per year based on experience.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, with proven experience in billing administration, data management, and process improvement. Strong leadership skills, acquisition integration expertise, and proficiency in financial systems and business intelligence tools are essential—preferably within the waste management or utility sector. An advanced degree (MBA or relevant Master's) or professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred. Experience with the Sofpak billing system or similar platforms is highly desirable, along with solid knowledge of data management practices, including writing queries and generating reports.
Demonstrates strong leadership and decision-making abilities, analytical thinking with statistical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and creativity paired with sound judgment in driving process improvements.
