The Role

Intern must be available to work full time (40 hours/week) during the 10-week program.

Program Dates: May 29 – August 7, 2026.

Location: This position is fully remote / work from home in the continental US.

Work Authorization: US Work Authorization required for this role. Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate's commitment to the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

The Main Responsibilities

As a PMO Intern in Lumen's Marketing Project Management Office, you will gain hands-on exposure to three distinct PMO workflows -- project, program, and agile management. You'll support a variety of strategic and operational initiatives, that could include marketing technology adoption and optimization, marketing campaign go-to-market (GTM) processes, creative and brand development workflows, website development and design workflows, or other special projects that strengthen Lumen's position as the leader in the future of connectivity. This internship offers a unique opportunity to shadow experienced project managers, contribute to high-impact marketing efforts, and explore how planning and execution are managed across different methodologies.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required qualifications:

  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior level education status at the start of the internship.
  • Graduating August 2026 – May 2028
  • Preferred fields include but not limited to: Marketing, Communications or related field

Proficiency and understanding of:

  • Interest in project management methodologies and marketing operations.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies, especially AI and digital connectivity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual's level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range: Min: $26/hour Max: $38/hour
