This position plays a key role in connecting customers with the right firearms, accessories, and services while ensuring complete compliance with all federal, state, and local firearms regulations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally; assess needs and guide them through product options, including firearms, optics, ammunition, and accessories.
  • Demonstrate safe firearm handling, explain features and benefits of products, and help customers make informed decisions.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with ATF, FFL, and state-level regulations.
  • Assist customers with the completion of all required forms, age verification, and background checks before finalizing firearm transfers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor with well-stocked and clearly labeled merchandise.
  • Support store operations by assisting with inventory control, restocking shelves, receiving shipments, and conducting product inspections.
  • Maintain accurate inventory logs and immediately report any discrepancies or compliance issues.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and security protocols related to firearms handling, storage, and sales.
  • Promote ongoing safety education, encourage responsible ownership, and represent the Parros mission to provide a welcoming, knowledgeable retail experience for all customers.
  • Engage positively with new shooters and experienced enthusiasts alike, fostering long-term relationships and repeat business.
  • Assist with in-store events, new product launches, and promotions that enhance customer engagement.
  • Uphold range and retail safety standards; maintain awareness of your surroundings and report any unsafe behavior or potential issues.
  • Contribute to overall team success by supporting colleagues and participating in a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Must be at least 18 years old (or older if required by law for firearm transactions).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior retail or customer service experience required; firearms retail experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain complex or technical information.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all compliance-related tasks.
  • Comfortable handling firearms, ammunition, and accessories in a professional and safety-conscious manner.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new product lines and systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs as part of regular restocking and merchandising duties.
  • Must be legally eligible to possess firearms and pass all applicable background checks.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
