Director, Physical Security Products And Services

The Global Physical Security (GPS) System Team manages physical security technology across the Corporation. Oracle is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, Physical Security Products and Services to lead the development of innovative physical security products and services that leverage technology which enables the internal physical security team to balance the need for speed and repeatability, while meeting the needs of privacy, IT security, and fiscal considerations.

As a seasoned product leader, you will leverage your expertise in navigating complex risk landscapes across emerging technologies to drive the creation of scalable, robust, and technically sound solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including physical security operations, engineering, IT security, security systems installers, hardware development teams and senior leadership, to ensure seamless execution and delivery of products and services that meet regulatory requirements while pushing the boundaries of innovation.

The Director, Physical Security Products & Services will be primarily responsible for:

  • Product and Services Vision and Strategy: Develop and execute a product and services roadmap that incorporates cutting-edge technologies.
  • Team Leadership: Build a small team of product managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with engineering, physical security, and other stakeholders.
  • Privacy Governance: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and implement products that prioritize user privacy.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with emerging technologies.
  • Innovation and R&D: Stay abreast of technological advancements and market trends.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure products and services comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications & Key Competencies include:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, security or related field, or relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of product management, services management, or a related leadership role experience.
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, data analytics and privacy technologies and approaches.
  • Expert knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Desirable Qualifications & Key Competencies include:

  • Relevant certifications, such as PMP, IAPP, CISSP.
  • Familiarity with specific the physical security hardware and software industry.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) or experience with data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with assurance and compliance standards including Common Criteria & FIPS.

Scope of Responsibility, Impact of Decisions and Degree of Supervision: The qualified candidate will report directly to the Architect, Physical Security Systems who is based in Texas, USA. This is a global role and periodic global travel will be required. As part of the senior leadership team this appointment will manage three physical security employees plus oversight of nine contracted security systems staff within their scope of responsibility with the possibility of more growth. The individual will be expected to work with the minimum amount of supervision. The level of decision making is high as it affects the direction of physical security technology across the Corporation.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,200 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
