The role of the Marketing Director – Nordics

The Nordic Marketing Director is a newly created, high-impact role reporting directly to the General Manager Nordics & Sweden, working closely with the Nordic Leadership Team, country Marketing Directors, Managing Directors and Communications Directors – as well as other senior stakeholders across the business. In a period of exciting growth and transformation, you'll shape our acquisition and brand strategy across the four Nordic countries, partnering with local marketing leads, our Group Brand Director, and Chief Marketing Officer. You will lead the development and implementation of our regional brand approach—supporting local marketing plans while growing and elevating the category.

You'll use data and dashboards to create transparency and drive actionable insights, ensuring our brand delivers measurable business impact. A key part of your role will be aligning how we bring the brand to life—defining strategy, channels, and messaging to drive demand and strengthen market presence.

Main responsibilities and impact

Marketing and Brand strategy consistency Doubling down on branding by driving consistency with overall brand strategy - developing winning marketing messages throughout the different touch points to grow brand and category across the Nordics in partnership with country marketing leaders.

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to further drive the Category across the Nordic markets in partnership with local teams, develop and roll out the brand strengthening strategy - driving category creation, performance marketing and lead generation approach, optimizing unit economics and driving interest in the category
  • Understanding the need and how to apply pressure across top, mid, and bottom funnel ie, balancing investments across the funnel that develop the category, and drive customers through acquisition.
  • Be the expert on category business and represent the voice of the Nordic customers and the marketplace. Understand the competition, customers, needs and behaviors, and marketplace trends.
  • Drive significantly increased awareness and preference for the Verisure brand by leveraging strategic brand building skills and strategic media spend allocation
  • Implement structured and integrated marketing planning approach including all offerings, campaigns, product launches, ATL and BTL activities
  • Build world class engagement with the consumer in all digital touchpoints and leverage strategic PR as a tool to generate cost effective brand awareness and preference. Play a key role to activate 360 campaigns, including pulling in best partner to support.
  • Strengthen the Verisure brand across the 4 Nordic countries capturing and strengthening number 1 position in terms of consumer mindset & heart preferences.
  • Work closely with the other functions - ie marketing portfolio, communications to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communication channels and help develop strategies to enhance brand reputation.
  • Find and action (internally and externally) best practices across the Nordic context

Capability development across the marketing acquisition function be the marketing & brand expert, supporting and establishing a meaningful, lean Nordic marketing organization that collaborates with the local markets to enable fast, scalable implementation while executing with excellence.

  • Build a strong and engaged marketing acquisition community where right capability and talent are in right roles, sharing best in class practices and capability across the cluster so best ideas travel fastest and we scale appropriately as needed. Lead and co-create horizontal networks with the markets to enable fast learning and implementation
  • Bring in customer Insights, help to build market capability and understanding
  • Build best in class marketing capability to enable the success of the local leaders
  • Mobilize the organization around "voice of the customer", bring the customer to life in everything we do.
  • Pull in agency or other expertise as needed to enhance problem solving and build deeper capability.
  • Develop standardized reporting and comprehensive dashboard resulting in transparency across markets, better predictability, etc. use of analytics to drive transparency on marketing investment and mix leading to better decision making
  • Understand AI, Google, and Meta algorithms, to take advantage of opportunities and mitigate risks
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, news, and developments, becoming our antenna for local market trends.

Innovation Thought Leadership - partnering with the innovation organization, provide thought leadership via best-in-class customer insights to influence innovation roadmap delivering against customer needs on-time with right value equation

  • Deliver actionable foresight, ideas and provocation to the product management & innovations teams to ensure a strong pipeline of successful future facing innovation ideas.
  • Explore major shifts in customer trends and behaviour that could have a significant impact on the business and brand.
  • Build external alliances and relationships with agencies and other suppliers to ensure the company is exploring and experimenting in emerging opportunities which can drive real growth.
  • Gain a robust understanding of emerging trends across key markets, including the nuances and complexities of customer behavior in the technology and digital spaces.
  • Work closely with the group innovation teams to manage winning customer propositions, and ensure successful launches and marketing campaign, coordination for successful go-to-market strategies, supported by impactful, insight-led marketing campaigns that deliver strong commercial results.

  • Over 15 years of experience in brand and marketing leadership roles within global, fast-paced B2C environments, including sectors such as retail, telco, FMCG, and subscription-based services. Proven ability to drive customer growth, brand development, and commercial performance in complex, high-growth settings.
  • Deep expertise working in international, multicultural organizations, with hands-on leadership of remote and cross-functional teams across diverse markets.
  • Strong track record in building and executing brand strategy, delivering 360° marketing activation, and leading performance-driven marketing initiatives (e.g., lead generation, customer acquisition), tightly aligned with broader commercial goals.
  • Proven experience and track record in digital performance marketing, including driving customer acquisition, optimizing ROI across channels, and leading data-driven campaigns in high-growth B2C environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create new market realities—from concept to execution—with ownership of value proposition design, pricing strategies, and end-to-end commercialization.
  • Proven project leadership skills, coordinating multi-departmental teams to ensure strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and timely execution.
  • Effective in managing multiple, simultaneous projects while maintaining a high bar for quality, accuracy, and deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Adaptable and responsive; skilled at balancing customer-centric demands with competing priorities and delivering against critical business metrics.
