About the role:

The Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for executing, coordinating, and documenting activities related to mechanical instrument development. The position is based in Düsseldorf.

A typical day in this role includes:

  • Developing and optimizing components and assemblies, considering functional requirements, DFM, quality, compliance, sustainability, serviceability, and cost
  • Ensuring robust designs through calculations, simulations, experiments, as well as functional and reliability testing
  • Documenting results and preparing production documentation
  • Actively contributing to the improvement of development and process workflows through application of the Veralto Enterprise System (VES)
  • Collaborating in a cross-functional team with R&D, procurement, manufacturing, quality, service, and product management

Key requirements:

  • Master's degree (M.Sc. or M.Eng.), e.g. in micromechanics, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in mechanical design engineering
  • Experience in the development of industrial measuring instruments is an advantage
  • Knowledge of vibration theory is a plus
  • Fluent German skills (at least C1 level) and very good English skills
  • Confident use of MS Office applications and 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
