Administrative Support Manager
Salary: £35,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00am-16:30pm
Location: 9-13 St James Mill Road, Northampton, Northamptonshire, NN5 5JW

What you'll be doing:
- Lead, manage, and develop the administrative support team to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Monitoring contract KPIs, budgets, and operational performance to maximise value for money.
- Managing payroll and validating tonnage and invoicing data to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Supporting financial processes including raising/receipting invoices and providing detail for budgeting.
- Ensuring statutory, contractual, and company compliance by scheduling, monitoring, and delivering all key events and tasks within the annual contract calendar.
- Supporting the Contract Manager and Operations Manager on employee-related processes and performance management.
- Driving continuous improvement and fostering a strong safety-first culture across the contract.
- Assisting with projects and improvement initiatives, providing support to managers and helping to drive best practice across teams.
- Acting as a stakeholder liaison, working closely with finance, operations, and client teams to ensure smooth service delivery and effective communication.
What we're looking for:
Essential
- Interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders at various levels and communicating technical information to non technical people
- Previous customer service experience, investigating & dealing with complaints
- Previous management experience.
- IT literate with experience of an operational management system.
Desirable
- First aid training / metal health first aid training
- Health and Safety legislation knowledge
- Experience of working in the waste industry.
- Understanding of transport legislation and compliance
- Previous experience working with a client team.
- Knowledge of finance and payroll systems.
