Installation, service and maintenance of Varex Imaging Security & Inspection Products (SIP) with limited supervision. Provides technical assistance on-site and/or by phone to customers, to maintain high quality performance of Varex Imaging Security & Inspection products Worldwide. Extensive local and international travel is to be expected and sometimes with little notice in order to meet Contractual obligations.
Major responsibilities:
Education / Experience: Graduate of technical institute or university in electronics or equivalent Military training in basic electronics. Graduate in electrical engineering, mechatronics or related fields and/or equivalent technical work-related experience. Must be professional and tactful; willing to travel extensively and willing to work at short notice and outside standard hours as required to support the customers/products. Fluency in English and the local language required.
Knowledge: Information Technology: Word: report summaries Excel (advanced): data collection and reporting PowerPoint: presentation purposes Microsoft Communication tools: emails, schedules, live meetings Salesforce: service reporting Customers: Excellent Communication skills to meet Customers' expectations Business Procedures: Basic understanding of logistical processes. SAP is an advantage Technical expertise: Must be proficient to operate an Oscilloscope, DVM and read schematics. PLC Logic programming also an advantage. Health and Safety: To be familiar with Risk Assessment procedures. Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) certification would be an advantage.
Skills: Basic all-round knowledge of electronic, electrical & mechanical components and applications. Expertise to react and troubleshoot efficiently and logically under pressure & at short notice. Ability to interface, communicate and train the customer in the operation of the Security and Inspection Products. Ability to work and communicate within a multi-cultural and worldwide team. Willing to accept key roles and responsibilities within the Territory Service Team as requested.
