Job Title

Promotes Vanguard's products and services to clients for the purpose of winning new business as measured by attaining specific sales goals. Applies understanding of products and the market to highlight pros and cons of various investments and highlight the appropriate features, products, and services that Vanguard offers.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves sales and sales activity goals as set by sales leadership team. Develops and maintains relationships with targeted clients.
  • Asks open questions to potential leads. Identifies the need for the client's guidance or advice based on information gathered. Identifies additional related investment and service needs based on probing questions on the client's investment strategy and needs.
  • Conducts advanced needs analysis of client's financial circumstances to best position products and services that Vanguard offers based on information shared by the client.
  • Identifies client's non-Vanguard assets and shares comparable Vanguard products and services along with Vanguard's value proposition to drive additional business. Utilizes market and product knowledge to highlight advantages and disadvantages of alternative investments.
  • Prioritizes client interactions based on potential, complexity, and need. Reviews book of business for continued opportunities and potential to gain additional business.
  • Proactively follows-up with clients and prospects to encourage their consideration of Vanguard's offerings Converts sales leads generated from internal business partners.
  • Partners with other departments as part of the asset transfer and rollover processes.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Three years related work experience. Relationship or account management experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
