This role works on new product proof of concept, development, testing, and product management responsibilities for generative AI using Large Language Models in Vanguard's Discretionary Advice Platform domain. The role involves product management activities to prioritize solutions that will improve an AI Agent's knowledge, tools, behaviors, and user experience for certain client intent domains in the advice space. This may involve RAG or agent workflow techniques such as managing knowledge base content, prompt engineering, development of tools exposed to the agent as well as a chat interface and associated UX components. The role collaborates closely with a data scientist for running evaluations in various categories to measure the behavior of the agent with certain prompts and context situations. The candidate will apply business and advice industry acumen, product management, and AI context engineering techniques to improve the quality of the agent's behaviors in practical client intent use cases.
Core Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Graduate degree preferred. Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational projects preferred.
Experience or demonstrated knowledge of generative AI, large language models, RAG, agent orchestration workflows, and the platforms or tools used for building and managing AI agent products.
