As an FX Sales Agent, you will maintain a portfolio of low volume FX (Foreign Exchange) commercial members. The FX Sales Agent will communicate timely FX advice, including market updates that enable them to assist their members in minimizing FX risk. The FX Sales Agent will also assist Vancity branches with FX requests according to established guidelines. They provide a variety of system and physical transactions based on member requests and compliance.

This is a Part-time, Temporary role. You'll work remotely four days a week and spend one day a week working onsite - either at our head office or at a branch location near you. The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm.

This role reports to the Manager, Foreign Exchange.

A typical day would involve:

  • Maintain a portfolio of FX commercial clients that largely complete same currency wires and/or have low FX volume
  • Provide on-going support by assisting in managing the sales inbox; processing and responding timely to inquiries and staying within our service level agreement
  • Provide primary support for branch trades and refer leads to Account Managers
  • Achieve assigned sales, profitability, and referral targets to contribute to FX bottom line
  • Provide best advice to staff, and members with regards to FX Policies, Procedures and documentation requirements, as a subject matter expert with extensive product knowledge
  • Quote and book live market rates in real time, using judgement and critical thinking (out of the box) to ensure the decisions that are made are not only in the best interest of the members but also Vancity

You Have:

  • Communication and interpersonal skills to act as a resource for the specialized area, providing specialized advice, guidance, explanations, and related support; and also, to participate development of program content
  • Knowledge of relevant Vancity products, policies, procedures, systems, tools, products, and services
  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices and techniques of the related field

Bonus points, if you have:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience/knowledge in finance and/or sales

The salary range for this role is $49,700 to $74,500 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
