Patient Access Prof./Patient Services Specialist Full-Time needed in our Valley Ortho Clinic!
As the Patient Access Prof./Patient Service Specialist you will:
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Provides patients and physicians professional and friendly billing and reception duties and knowledge of Orthopedics at Valley View.
- Responsible for providing exemplary guest service to all internal and external customers. This service includes phone and face-to-face interaction with our patients, expeditiously determining and meeting patients' needs, assisting patients when appropriate, and displaying an approachable and professional image in personal appearance.
- This position requires knowledge of healthcare terminology, health insurance, electronic medical records system, HIPPA, and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 principles.
- Organizes patient flow, keeping physicians and patients on schedule.
- Maintains patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner.
- Screens office manager, physician and nurse calls, handling appropriately.
- Ensures billing and collection processes are maintained.
- Assists as necessary in a timely manner with all billing and collection efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills: Clerical: typing filing, scheduling, and strong computer skills; Exceptional customer service skills; Must be detail oriented with excellent telephone and communication skills; Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Two years in a reception or clerical field.
- One to two years of customer service required.
- Previous experience in insurance verification, patient registration, collections or billing required.
SALARY RANGE
- $20.00 to $28.87/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
