We are leader on our businesses, and recognized as one of the largest global innovative companies.

As the world leader in driver assistance systems, Valeo reinvents life on board and driving experience. From connectivity and intuitive controls solutions to driving automation, Valeo's Brain Division is creating a new era of autonomous and enjoyable travel.

Valeo's Mobility Tech Center (VMTC) located in Créteil (94) is Valeo's Brain Division Headquarters. This Research & Development center employs over 1,180 people working on the development of Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS), connectivity solutions, human-machine interfaces and vehicle cabin monitoring systems.

The Thermal Department at Smart Cockpit, which is responsible for thermal design and the validation of robust technical solutions for Valeo's modern display systems, is currently seeking a Thermal Simulation Engineer M/F.

Working closely with various engineering disciplines (optics, mechanical, electrical, systems, validation, and software), I will be responsible for identifying the best technical and financial trade-offs while optimizing the product's thermal performance, reducing thermal risks, and minimizing costs to ensure we remain competitive.

Your challenges?

  • Design and develop thermal solutions for complex mechatronic systems containing high-power-density components
  • Optimize product thermal management by taking into account all physical aspects governing the process (optical, mechanical, and electronic) using FEA and CFD
  • Conduct thermal tests to validate product robustness and compliance with customer requirements
  • Perform and support the associated design calculations, simulations, coding, and acceptance testing
  • Develop automated scripts to enable rapid thermal analysis of multiphysics simulations
  • Prepare test plans and reports, and present simulation reports to the project team and management
  • Plan, monitor, and control thermal activities in accordance with relevant design standards
  • Ensure that internal requirements, customer requirements, and supplier specifications are reviewed
  • Help identify resource, equipment, and investment needs when requesting quotes
  • Develop a detailed action plan to achieve objectives
  • Support the monitoring of intellectual property and propose innovative, patentable concepts
  • Provide support to the design team through presentations and participation in FMEA analyses, safety studies, quality control, and failure tree analysis

What about you?

You hold a master's degree (engineering or other) and have at least five years of professional experience in the thermal simulation of mechatronic systems, gained in an industrial setting.

You are curious and pragmatic, and are known for your interpersonal and communication skills, as well as your ability to explain technical information in layman's terms.

You are proficient in CATIA software and, ideally, FloEFD, Ansys, and model-based design (MBD) tools such as MATLAB Simulink or Python.

Your English is fluent.
