Job Title

Supports the Task Order Manager and Maintenance Manager to establish priority of effort for the sustainment and readiness of up to a Company set of Stryker Family of Tactical Vehicles, to include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, platform upgrades and/or modifications, issuance and receipt of vehicles to and from rotating units, and long-term storage. Uses skills and experience to assist with maintaining the pre-positioned set at an operational readiness rate of 90% or above. Oversees mechanics in troubleshooting and correcting faults in all Stryker variants, to include automotive systems, drive train, suspension, electrical system, armor, etc. Conducts Quality Control (QC) checks on all work performed by Mechanics to ensure compliance IAW applicable Technical Manuals (TMs), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manuals, and Industry Best Practices.

Responsibilities

Performs quality checks on all work performed by Stryker maintenance support personnel.

Monitors and maintains configuration management for Stryker vehicles.

Ensures Mechanics conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with applicable TM -10, and -20 level manuals for the Stryker variants on hand. Ensures lube orders are performed in accordance with the criteria established in applicable TMs. Provides support in the execution of weekly and monthly PMCS.

Supports Mechanics to properly diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, assist with performance of field-level (and some sustainment-level) maintenance on the engines, transmissions, and power train major assemblies and components, vehicular-mounted environmental control systems, fuel system components, suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, fire extinguisher/suppression systems, vehicular-mounted armament, gun turret drive system, and the fire control system on the Stryker Family of Tactical Vehicles.

Ensures work conforms to the standards and requirements of the Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC), TMs, OEM Manuals, and Industry Best Practices.

Utilizes built-in test equipment to properly diagnose and troubleshoot faults.

Disassembles units and inspects parts for wear, using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

Completes maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties.

Maintains accountability for all assigned property. Aids Property Management personnel on identification of key Stryker components, BII, AAL, COEI, and STTE.

Performs additional duties as assigned by the Task Order Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of High School / GED required, Associate Degree preferred, or equivalent technical certification.

Military school trained Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (US Army MOSs 63B, 63S, 63W or 63B, MCM or USMC MOSs 2147, 3521, 3522, 3524) preferred.

Must be a certified Stryker Field Service Representative (FSR).

Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Host Nation Heavy Driver's License. NOTE: US driver's license must be valid for at least 18-24 months after hiring date.

Ability to acquire U.S. Passport within 30 days of hiring.

Must be able to obtain and maintain successful NACI background for Common Access Card (CAC).

Must be a US citizen.

Experience:

Possess five (5) to ten (10) years of related work experience. (Equivalent Military service acceptable).

Stryker Vehicle experience required.

Skills:

Read and interpret troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures and flow diagrams for systems, subsystems, and components.

Must have knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.

Familiar with the use of Military electronic or paper version of Technical Manuals.

The ability to troubleshoot, determining causes of operating errors and deciding on the proper course(s) of action.

Must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral, in English.

Ability to work in a diverse workforce.

Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.

Must exercise discretion and good sound judgement.

Knowledgeable of Army Maintenance Management Principles and Standards.

Knowledgeable of physical security of Government-issued equipment.

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills; must be Customer-oriented.

Ability to handle confidential Company and Employee information with complete discretion.

Ability to work effectively with Employees and Management of all levels, to include multi-national staff, superiors, and ranking Military Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).

Working Conditions

Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).

Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

The worker is subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.

Physical Requirements

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
