Marketing Director/Recreational Service Associate

The Marketing Director/Recreational Service Associate is responsible for leading a small marketing team to accomplish all marketing requirements in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Services provided shall include, but are not limited to, developing professional marketing material to inform the base populace of upcoming events, to include flyers, weekly and monthly calendars, brochures, posters, e-mail and web page updates. This position will be dual hatted performing Recreational Services Service’s provided include resale operations, facility & equipment management and basic repair, special events, games, cultural tours and day trips, and other supporting activities as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Marketing Director/Recreational Services Associate reports to the Recreational Programs Director/Assistant Site Manager and may be required to supervise other personnel.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, supervision and work execution of all Marketing requirements as specified in the Performance Work Statement.
  • Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing clean, friendly and Marketing Department.
  • Responsible for providing all marketing/publicity material for MWR programs and events to include cross-marketing and base distribution.
  • Shall send approved e-mails to the base population and maintain the base marketing SharePoint site to ensure all activity information is correct, professional and error free.
  • Shall print and laminate marketing materials as needed.
  • Shall provide photography and video of events to the flight chief and Vectrus leadership.
  • Shall collaborate with all activity managers to develop marketing plans and programs for each service and completes/directs promotional support
  • Shall follow procedures for tracking and issuing CAC equipment to guests.
  • Shall complete weekly inventory of all equipment and supplies.
  • Shall follow all applicable Tri-Service Food Code, USDA, and local rules for food handling and service.
  • Shall perform set up and breakdown of Government furnished equipment such as tables, chairs, music system, ice chests, stages, etc.
  • Reviews customer surveys and preferences to determine current and future trends.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
  • Responsible for implementing and following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
  • Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
  • Shall ensure oversight of LN workforce in accordance with 332 AEWI and AFCENTI 32-1002.
  • Shall perform escort duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.

Other requirements:

  • Work will be primarily indoors but may be outdoors to support various events.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
  • Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
  • Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.
  • Task specific work environment training will be provided as required.
  • Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.S. interests.
  • 100% Overseas Assignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U.S. Passport and U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Must be certified or shall be willing to receive certification to drive up to a 10K forklift.
  • Must be able to or shall be willing to learn to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Must be able to pass MOD15 employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
  • Candidates must successfully complete hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years' of experience in supervising and managing marketing operations.
  • Management experience to include: supervision of employees, completed required reports, and high customer satisfaction results.
  • Marketing experience to include at least two years’ experience developing graphics for marketing, publicity and/or advertising using web-based applications, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and other related programs.
  • Previous experience in Air Force Support Services field or Dept./Section experience preferred.
