Temporary Media Support Technician

This position will provide classroom media support for the McCombs MS Technology Commercialization graduate program during class weekends and intensive weeks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Record and monitor hybrid Zoom classes for MSTC graduate program courses and events. Set up additional equipment such as a floor monitor and Zoom laptop in classroom. Provide Tier-1 media support to faculty, students, and staff.
  • Coordinate with Rowling Hall AV Technology Solutions team to ensure classroom technology is functioning properly. Assist with other MSTC projects/events as needed. Edit and Publish Recordings to Panopto.

Required qualifications include:

  • High school graduation or GED. At least two years of related experience in IT or AV media support roles. Experience multi-tasking. Experience with detail-oriented procedures. Experience following instructions. Experience providing excellent customer service. Experience working independently and as a team member. Must be reliable and resourceful. Must have the required education, skills, and experience in order to perform the specific temporary assignment successfully. Regular and punctual attendance is required.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • At least three years of related experience in AV media support roles.

Hourly rate: $24.16

Working conditions include:

  • Attire: Business Casual

The weekly hours for this part-time Media Technician role will fluctuate based on the class schedule for the MS Technology Commercialization Program. Given that the primary responsibilities of this position are to provide classroom media support, the general working hours will generally be Thursdays from about 4 pm - 9:30 pm, Fridays from 3 pm - 8:30 pm, and Saturdays from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Based on the Fall 2025 class schedule, there may be weeks where no work is available.
