Wastewater Engineer

Engineer or Project Manager for a diverse range of municipal water and wastewater projects. The role involves leveraging expertise in water/wastewater engineering to handle tasks such as water system conveyance design, storage, sanitary conveyance design, hydraulic modeling, and preparation of feasibility studies and master plans. Responsibilities include: working in a highly flexible, team-oriented environment and contributing to the growth of the Water and Environmental Business Unit in Utah. Planning, designing, and leading a wide range of municipal water/wastewater systems and facilities. Serving as a Project Manager or engineer of record, collaborating with a team of support professionals, including drafters, EITs, GIS technicians, and technical editors. Assisting in business development efforts, including engagement in professional organizations and visibility efforts. Preparing proposals and coordinating with regulatory agencies for project permitting.

Essential Skills include: Civil engineering expertise with a focus on wastewater and water resources. Experience in design, water main, and sanitary sewer projects. Project management skills. BS in Civil Engineering. Registered Professional Engineer in UT. 10+ years of experience as a municipal utilities design engineer. Knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications include: Proficiency in AutoCAD (GIS is a plus but not required). Technical memorandum and report writing skills. Experience working with water conservation districts in Utah, local public work departments, secondary water companies, and other regulatory agencies.

Work Environment: Enjoy a flexible 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off, working in the office Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of South Jordan, Utah.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
