Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. In the role of Senior Rail Transit Engineer, we'll count on you to:

1. Lead teams on a variety of transportation planning and engineering projects
2. Assist clients in the day-to-day project management activities of design, funding, construction and project control related to transit projects
3. Develop work scopes and negotiate additional services contracts and contract changes for clients; coordinate and supervise engineering design activities
4. Manage planning, engineering, and architectural activities related to the design and construction or modification of transit infrastructure and facilities, including bus rapid transit, transit centers, maintenance facilities, park and rides, electric bus infrastructure, and bus stop amenities
5. Plan, organize, and manage capital project scopes, schedules, and budgets
6. Coordinate with governmental and private agencies (stakeholders, cities, counties, DOT, utility companies, etc.) in the design and construction of transit projects
7. Participate in reviews and concept/design meetings with various clients and partners
8. Coordinate interdisciplinary review of documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
9. Coordinate workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule and within budget
10. Independently coordinate the work of professional staff and balance the team throughout the entire project's development
11. Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate/adjust the work efforts with teams to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
12. Attend client meetings and must have the ability to present a design approach for technical discussion
13. Implement QA/QC procedures
14. Perform other design/engineering tasks as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP designation
• 5 or more years in the transit industry managing design and construction of capital projects of increasingly responsible experience, including bus rapid transit specifically and other transit infrastructure
• Experience with designing transit facilities such as bus rapid transit, transit stations, parks and rides, transit centers, and operations and maintenance facilities
• Computer skills including ArcGIS...
