The Role

Working independently with limited supervision, translates complex business and engineering requirements to create and execute risk-based test plans against wide-scale network or systems of significant complexity to validate compliancy and robustness. Documents the testing procedures, analyzes and correlates test data, publishes concise results and tracks defects through resolution.

Location: This position is work from home anywhere with the US.

The Main Responsibilities

• Develops and executes risk-based test plans against wide-scale networks or systems of significant complexity to validate compliancy and robustness with engineering and business requirements. Includes collaboration to conduct prototype testing across network or systems using iterative designs.
• Reproduces field issues of significant complexity to isolate element or system fault.
• Develops and implements a wide-scale Test Architecture including Devices Under Test (DUT), Systems Under Test (SUT) and Test Equipment for a technical domain.
• Leads initiatives to develop reusable test assets including test automation for a technical domain.
• Leads initiatives for Testing Methodology and improvement of Testing Strategies for a technical domain.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in metro Ethernet or IP/MPLS environments, with a strong focus on Cisco platforms. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Nokia, Ciena, and/or Adtran IP/Ethernet devices. Proficiency in IP protocols (SR, OSPF, BGP, etc) configurations. Familiarity with architecture and MEF service models. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to isolate complex network issues. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Preferred: Experience: 5+ yrs. Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree. Field Of Study: Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent experience). A combination of education and experience is acceptable. Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities. Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges: $82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY. $87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI. $91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
