Senior iOS Engineer

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and enhancing native iOS applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will be a valued member of the mobile engineering team and collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering partners. In this role, you will:

• Lead the design and development of major iOS application features and technical initiatives
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine, estimate, and prioritize software requirements
• Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality coding standards
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and architectural challenges

What you need to have to be considered:

• 6+ years of professional experience in native iOS development
• At least one published native iOS application
• Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C
• Deep understanding of iOS architecture, design patterns, and best practices
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
• Experience working in a full-stack or multi-tiered environment
• Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities

These will help you stand out:

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
• Strong understanding of modern iOS frameworks, patterns, and tooling
• Familiarity with scalable software architecture and continuous improvement practices
• Ability to document and present technical solutions clearly
• Commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with evolving iOS technologies

Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until February 27th, 2026. The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 - $117,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
