About the role: As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide electrical engineering support at a zirconium manufacturing facility for equipment and processes for use in commercial nuclear power industry. The plant contains a variety of equipment used in chemical and metals manufacturing industries including chemical processing systems (separators, fluidized bed reactors, distillation furnaces), vacuum arc furnaces, electron beam furnaces and welders, lathes, annealing furnaces, pre-heat furnaces, forges, extrusion presses, pilgers, cranes and lifting fixtures, boilers, cooling towers, planers and mills. Much of the plant equipment is equipped with control systems including Modicon, Rockwell, Siemens, Honeywell and Emerson Delta-V. The plant electrical distribution system is fed from an on-site substation which distributes power throughout the plant and is supplemented with an emergency generator providing emergency power to select systems in the event of a loss of main power. You will report to the Senior Manager of Engineering and be located at Ogden, UT. You will support this role 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, daily technical engineering support and leadership for electrical systems, instrumentation and controls for plant processing equipment, plant operations and maintenance.
• Develop electrical drawings including 1-line, layout, schematics drawings, specification of new equipment, electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, and control systems. Responsibilities include design development, leading design teams, overseeing and coordinating installation, fabrication, testing and qualification of new equipment or systems.
