Procedure Card Analyst

The Procedure Card Analyst maintains, standardizes, and analyzes operating room procedure cards across designated care sites, focusing on optimizing card content—equipment, instruments, medications, supplies, and procedure standardization—with timely updates and revisions. Collaborating with physicians and perioperative leadership, the Analyst ensures content aligns with patient safety, clinical standards, and cost-saving objectives, while working with the Perioperative Supply Chain to maintain accurate supply data. Through qualitative and quantitative process improvements, the Analyst upholds IH standards, vision, and guiding principles, leading efforts to standardize and centralize key operational functions, mitigating compliance issues, supporting stewardship, and facilitating business platform implementation. Maintaining clean procedure card data enhances caregiver and physician satisfaction, improves patient safety, optimizes working capital, and increases labor efficiency.

Aligns departmental actions with care site and IH strategic goals, fostering positive HR practices through mentoring, performance management, and coaching.
  • Management & Sustainment: Oversees daily updates to ensure accurate card content (equipment, instruments, supplies, positioning devices, and physician accreditation). Coordinates timely card updates and utilizes quality assurance tools and ServiceNow to maintain transparency and responsiveness.
  • Procedure Card Analysis: Regularly monitors and analyzes data with Tableau, Epic OpTime, and other platforms to ensure clinical data integrity and uncover standardization opportunities. Conducts periodic reviews and annual physician examinations to benchmark performance and enhance patient safety.
  • Physician Onboarding & Collaboration: Coordinates initial contact and onboarding for new providers, ensuring procedure cards are built for their cases. Partners with OR staff and surgeons to update cards, streamline case categories, and drive content improvement.
  • Perioperative Supply Chain Support: Meets weekly with the supply chain team to coordinate product conversions, update DPCs, validate Epic inventory data, and optimize supply utilization.
