Senior Service Line Director
The Senior Service Line Director is responsible for strategic leadership, program development and evaluation, operations and financial performance, patient experience, and the continuous improvement of the service line. This position will lead and support several clinical departments, diagnostic services, inpatient, and outpatient settings across the disease continuum in several locations across five states. The Senior Pediatric Service Line Director oversees highly complex, high profile service lines such as the Pediatric Heart Center or Pediatric Cancer Center.
Essential Functions:
- Leads strategy, new program development, and business planning of the pediatric service line across the health system.
- Interacts and aligns with all levels of the organization throughout Intermountain Health (both acute and ambulatory based) and its associated academic institution.
- Designs the care delivery model and best practices standards including seamless access and care across the continuum with the integration of clinical trials and other research and education initiatives.
- Ensures integration of the program(s) across all facilities to deliver the highest quality at the lowest appropriate cost.
- This position has budget accountability and is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the service line across all settings of care.
- Builds and maintains effective relationships with employed and affiliated specialty physicians to create strong physician alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and expertise developing and implementing strategic, operational and program development plans to improve safety, quality, patient experience, and access, while reducing the cost.
- Experience in achieving results in both line management and matrixed management environments.
- Experience in a role requiring the financial dimension of management budgeting, financial monitoring, and business development.
- Experience in a role requiring skills related to balancing clinical, regulatory, and financial goals and outcomes and collaborating with all levels within an organization.
- Proven track record of leadership including achieving results with and through others.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a business or health related field. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution and education will be verified.
- 5 years of service line leadership experience.
- Experience working in a pediatric academic medical center preferred.
With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity.

- This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
- Position includes travel to other states and cities.
