After completing training, responsibilities will include managing laboratory inventory, maintaining equipment and workspaces, and assisting with molecular and microbiological experiments. Typical tasks include nucleic acid extraction, serial dilutions, and PCR setup, as well as accurate documentation in electronic laboratory notebooks. This role involves working in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) environment, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and sterile techniques to handle potentially pathogenic organisms, patient samples, and other body fluids safely. The technicians must follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs), study-specific protocols, and all regulatory and safety requirements.
