Human Resources Generalist
The City of Orem Human Resources Division is currently hiring for a Human Resources Generalist. This is a full-time, benefited position working under the direction of the HR Manager and is considered entry-level. The HR Generalist is responsible for general human resources administrative, analytical, and technical support functions. Such as the onboarding of full-time employees and coordinating their initial benefits enrollment. Benefits maintenance, including processing all life events throughout the year, and assisting employees daily with benefit questions and concerns. Responsibilities also include recruitment, which involves processing and posting job openings on the city's website, as well as various other online platforms. Oversee the administration and tracking of FMLA, ensuring full compliance with federal regulations. Track all pre-employment and post-employment blood work and medical physicals for designated positions, and provide follow-up as needed. Oversee the HR email account and respond to all emails in a timely manner. Maintain employee files by filing both physical and digital documents. In the near future, this will involve transferring physical personnel files to digital files. This position also provides customer service in person, over the phone, and through email to customers, employees, and supervisors on city policies, benefits, timecards, payroll, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
