The Utah State Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time employee to prepare and serve food for both patients and employees at the beautiful Utah State Hospital campus. We are looking for someone who will be a positive addition to the team, willing and capable of the work required to prepare and serve over 1200 daily meals to our patients and staff. The schedule for this position after training is complete will be Sunday 4:00am-12:30pm, Monday-Tuesday OFF, Wednesday-Saturday 4:00am-12:30pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Have a food handlers permit or Servsafe certificate.
• Have experience cooking in an institutional environment.
• Have experience preparing and setting up for catered events.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Be able to cheerfully adapt to unforeseen changes, such as staffing needs and menu adaptations.
• May help in maintaining food storage areas.
