Join the Utah National Guard's Regional Training Institute Dining Facility Team

Join the Utah National Guard’s Regional Training Institute (RTI) Dining Facility team at Camp Williams and play a vital role in supporting the mission of training today’s Soldiers. As a member of the food service team, you will help prepare and serve meals for service members attending courses at the 640th RTI, contributing directly to troop readiness, morale, and wellness. Food Service Workers in this role will assist in day-to-day kitchen operations, including meal prep, serving, cleanup, and compliance with all food safety standards. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you’ll help ensure the dining facility runs efficiently and maintains a welcoming atmosphere for Soldiers and staff. This position offers the opportunity to take pride in work that directly supports the training and wellbeing of the Utah National Guard.

This position requires being able to work Thursday to Monday in the mornings and evenings.

  • Have experience working in food service, catering, or a commercial kitchen setting
  • Be comfortable preparing large-batch meals and working alongside a kitchen team
  • Take pride in cleanliness, safety, and food presentation
  • Be flexible, dependable, and ready to adapt to changing needs and schedules
  • Bring a positive attitude and strong work ethic every day
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) a Utah Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification – we’ll help you get certified if needed
  • Be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
  • Be able to cheerfully adapt to unforeseen changes, such as staffing needs and menu adaptations

Health Insurance: Public Employee Health Program (PEHP): 3 medical plan options. Choose a Traditional or High Deductible Health Plan. There is an Opt-Out Cash Benefit option for those who have other medical insurance coverage. 5 dental plan options, with an Opt-Out Cash Benefit option for those who have other dental insurance coverage. 2 vision plan options under EyeMed

Retirement: Utah Retirement Systems (URS): Employees who have any service credit with an employer covered by the Utah Retirement Systems prior to 7/1/2011 are in the Tier I Public Employees System. Employees hired on or after 7/1/2011 and who have never been in the URS retirement system have two options for retirement in the Tier II System.

  • Tier 2 Hybrid Retirement System. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary between both plans (pension and 401(k))
  • Tier 2 Defined Contribution Plan. Employer contributes an amount equal to 10% of your salary to a 401(k) plan only. Employer contributions to your 401(k) are vested after four years.

Paid Time Off: Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual, 4 hours sick). Annual leave amounts increase with years of service. We have 12 paid holidays.
