Field Operations Specialist
We are currently seeking a Field Operations Specialist to support a heavy civil dewatering project at the Hyrum Dam. In this role, you will collect, verify, and analyze field data from surface-water and deep-well control systems (flow meters, water levels, etc.), ensuring compliance with project specs, environmental regulations, and safety standards. This position plays a vital role in maintaining dry, stable work areas to support excavation, concrete placement, and other critical construction activities. This is a physically active, hands-on role that requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in field environments on flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to the field site in your own 4WD vehicle
- Monitor and inspect dewatering systems; verify pump operation
- Record readings and take water-level measurements; validate data quality
- Analyze collected data to determine possible equipment failures, etc.
- Communicate clear status reports to project management
- Follow OSHA standards to ensure safety working on a heavy civil project with large construction equipment such as haul trucks, cranes, and excavators.
- Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and site procedures
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Clean driving record required
- Must own a reliable 4WD vehicle
- Ability to travel to future job sites after the initial 12-month assignment
- Lift and transport equipment weighing up to 30 lbs
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- OSHA certification preferred
- Prior experience in water pump monitoring or infrastructure fieldwork is a plus
