Engineering Technologist Opportunity
Cimarron is seeking an Engineering Technologist to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force's Sentinel program in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations, including Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital US Air Force program that will recapitalize the nation's aging ground-based leg of the nuclear triad -- the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Key Duties:
- Assist the Mechanical Engineering team by supporting engineering leadership, Lead Engineers, and the Project Engineer/Project Manager in identifying and extracting technical data from multiple sources.
- Track schedules and report work progress in coordination with project requirements.
- Organize and coordinate submittals, drawing updates, document reviews, meetings, and workshops.
- Collect, organize, and present technical data using databases and computer-based tools.
- Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to support day-to-day project activities.
- Track engineering information, locate documents, and maintain the status of open item punch lists.
- Support meeting preparations by developing presentation materials and technical briefings.
- Assist with the preparation and review of technical documentation under the direction of an engineer, including CAD updates and back-checking.
- Ensure work is executed to high-quality standards while meeting project schedules.
- Maintain Key Process Improvement registers and support continuous improvement efforts.

- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance in a reasonable timeframe.

- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information.
- Proficiency with standard office software tools, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Strong computer aptitude for collecting, organizing, and presenting technical data using relational databases.
- Ability to analyze technical documents, identify relevant information, and properly classify data for efficient retrieval and analysis.
- Analytical skills to monitor and manage large volumes of information and extract data efficiently in response to requests.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineers, data analysts, technical experts, and management as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- High attention to detail with the ability to accurately capture and track technical information within large documents and datasets.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines and functional groups on assigned tasks.
- Interest in learning to draft intelligent piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 or more years of relevant experience, or an Associate of Arts or Science degree.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Previous Bechtel and/or DoD or DoE project experience.
- Associate of Arts or Science degree.
