Civil Engineer (PE)

Nexeo is hiring a Civil Engineer (PE) to join our client’s established engineering and surveying firm in Brigham City, UT. With decades of success serving Northern Utah, this firm delivers high-quality municipal infrastructure, commercial development, residential projects, and industrial site design that shape local communities. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Professional Civil Engineer who wants to manage impactful projects, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in the growth of a respected consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead civil engineering projects from planning through completion, including grading, drainage, roadway, and utility design.
• Design Oversight: Create and review plans and specifications in AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards.
• Project Management: Oversee schedules, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining a strong client focus.
• Client & Team Collaboration: Present to municipalities, build long-term client relationships, and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct engineering calculations, review technical reports, and provide PE-stamped documents.
• Business Development: Contribute to proposals, marketing efforts, and client outreach to expand the firm’s market presence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience
• 2+ years of leadership or project management experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and municipal design standards
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Consulting or client-facing background preferred
• Ability to pass ongoing drug screenings (federal project requirement)

Pay: $90,000 - $135,000 per year

Schedule: Full-time | Monday Friday | Day Shift Flexible between 6:00am - 6:00pm (in-office by 8:00am preferred)
