Under the close supervision of the Operations Manager, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building construction, alteration, and maintenance repair work.

Education: High school graduation or equivalent. Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of diversified experience in Building Construction, Alteration, Maintenance, and Repair Work. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and materials used in a variety of building maintenance functions. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to building maintenance.
Skills: Skilled in the use of specialized and common tools and materials of several trades.
Abilities: Ability, if assigned, to lead and organize the work of others. Ability to read, interpret, and work from sketches, diagrams and blueprints. Ability to make cost estimates of time and materials. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to perform moderately strenuous manual labor for extended periods of time. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the general public.
Must possess or be able to possess a valid Utah Driver's License and have a good driving record. Must be able to be on call 24 hours a day; must have a telephone. Must be adaptable to changing work hours as shift hours may be varied. Working days may include weekends, and holidays; and working hours could include early mornings and late nights. Service workers are required to be on rotating holiday and weekend checks. Must be able to operate motorized vehicles and equipment, including dump truck, truck mounted snow plow, pickup truck, utility truck, pumps, compressors, sanders, generators, comm hand and power tools, shovels, wrenches, detection devices, and mobile radio. Able to operate mowers, weed eaters, tractors and other lawn mowing equipment, fix sprinklers and water pipes. Able to weed and maintain flower beds. Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment background check prior to starting the position.
