The Marketing Department at the David Eccles School of Business, University of Utah, is seeking candidates for two tenure-track positions beginning in Fall 2026, with a preference for those at the advanced assistant, associate, or full professor level. We are looking for candidates with a PhD in Marketing or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of publications in prominent Marketing journals. They will also demonstrate excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, show a commitment to mentoring doctoral students, and provide leadership within the department, college, or university. The Marketing Department has grown significantly over the past 12 years, expanding from just over 60 to approximately 250 undergraduate majors, with strong interest in both marketing and professional sales. The department was among the first to launch a successful Master of Business Analytics program with a focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI). This program is ranked in the top 10 by TFE Times and represents a key area of faculty expertise. Each year, the department hosts several research conferences during the ski season, attracting marketing scholars to share their work and engage with peers in a unique setting.
The Eccles School of Business comprises 81 tenure-track faculty, 82 career-line faculty, and 175 adjunct faculty, and is home to a variety of institutes and centers that support research, teaching, and industry engagement.
