Assists the overall operation, including acquisitions, cataloging, database maintenance, receiving, interlibrary loan, and materials processing of the Technical Services Department. Supervises assigned staff. Minimum qualifications include a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Library Science, Information Science, or other directly related degree, plus two (2) years of professional librarian experience in a public library. Preference is given to the candidates with an MLS/MLIS degree, Technical Service experience, and Supervisory Experience. Essential functions include assisting in the overall operations of the Technical Services Department, assuming general management responsibilities in the absence of the Technical Services Manager, supervising assigned staff, assisting in developing and monitoring the annual budget for the Technical Services Department, serving as a liaison with branches, library departments, administrative staff, and the public, and assisting with long-range planning functions.
