Jr. Account Executive

The Jr. Account Executive at IGEN is a role focused on revenue growth. This role works closely with IGEN marketing and Sales Development Representatives to drive demand generation and leverages all channels to engage prospective clients. The Account Executive is a net new business revenue closing role, working with our small medium business (SMB) prospects. This individual will have a client-first mindset, develop strong industry knowledge and understanding of our clients' business objectives to guide them and align desired outcomes with IGEN solutions.

Job Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting, including industry events, networking, partner relations, cold calling, etc. to create opportunities to work and close deals
  • Continuously evolving demand generation methodologies to engage target accounts, curate interest, and a top-of-funnel pipeline that converts to revenue.
  • Accountable for generating demand & executing opportunities resulting in subscription revenue to achieve and/or exceed their bookings quota.
  • Responsible for establishing relationships with prospective clients and guiding them throughout the buying lifecycle.
  • Provide prospective clients with valuable and timely insights leveraging IGEN's subject matter experts.
  • Assist in client discovery calls to understand business objectives and demos to showcase the value of IGEN's platform.
  • Prepare ROI analysis and business case.
  • Negotiation of commercial terms
  • Developing and maintaining a pipeline to support individual and team quotas.
  • Update and maintain CRM database and provide accurate weekly reports reflecting territory and pipeline status.
  • Deep understanding of the pipeline and client buying cycle to guide an accurate quarterly forecast
  • Relentless learning of our clients, their industry, the competitive landscape, IGEN's platform, and value proposition

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of relatable sales experience
  • Previous experience in a Software or Business Development role
  • Technical skills and ability to present technical concepts clearly to clients
  • Ability to handle multiple sales transactions simultaneously.
  • Client first mindset, empathy, and active listening
  • Outcome-oriented. Drive to succeed.

Preferred:

  • University degree: 4 year BS or BA strongly preferred, but not required
