Small Business And National Sales Strategy Manager

The Small Business And National Sales Strategy Manager acts as a strategic partner to the Head of Small Business Banking, overseeing strategic, sales, and operational functions and projects for growth and improvement. The Strategy Manager leads or participates in the identification, design, development, and implementation of assigned projects and strategies aimed at maximizing small business and national sales growth opportunities. Reporting to the Head of Small Business Banking, this position supports efficient business operations and alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Responsibilities include coaching and developing less experienced program and project managers and collaborating with various executives and staff to address resource and prioritization issues, balancing the objectives of both directly managed programs and those affecting overall U.S. Bank goals.

The Strategy Manager facilitates, executes, and delivers project and improvement initiatives across departments to support successful project outcomes and the achievement of strategic goals. These duties involve active participation in initiatives as well as managing and directing project resources. The Strategy Manager assists with regular strategy reviews to adapt to changes in the operating environment. This role may also research and explore new areas beyond current initiatives as appropriate.

Essential Functions

  • Lead Small Business and National Sales innovation & transformation efforts, including process improvement and efficiencies, AI, automation, and digital enablement to modernize sales and growth opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational scalability.
  • Expert knowledge of small business, branch banking, national sales, or functional area.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management.
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operationalize business growth strategies to achieve assigned financial targets and growth goals.
  • Analyze sales performance and net flows metrics to determine areas of need and follow up with targeted solutions.
  • Oversee allocation of people and financial resources for purposeful business strategy.
  • Build strong, effective partnerships with colleagues across the enterprise to work together and collaboratively remove roadblocks for success.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $164,390.00 - $193,400.00
