Marquette University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position to teach three undergraduate course sections per semester within the Marketing Department of the College of Business Administration during the 2026-2027 school year. Courses will include Introduction to Marketing and Marketing Management (our capstone marketing course).
Duties and responsibilities include research productivity and department collaboration, assisting with undergraduate advising, following course syllabus and teaching plans, instructing, managing, and supervising students in a professional manner, developing and delivering course content using lectures, discussions, role plays, simulations, and other experiential learning activities, preparing and administering quizzes, exams, and projects, evaluating and grading student work in a timely and constructive manner, maintaining a minimum of three office hours per course per week, stimulating and encouraging class discussions to foster critical thinking and application of sales concepts, maintaining accurate records of student performance, and being available and responsive to student questions and support needs. Remain current with professional and academic trends in sales and marketing.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include an earned doctorate or a terminal degree and demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high-quality research. Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities include experience teaching at the college level and skills consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation. Industry experience is a plus but not required.
