Electrical Test Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical Test Engineer to support a key client, located in Milwaukee, WI. As an Electrical Test Engineer, you will:

  • Assist with equipment setup in test chambers per the requirements of the customer
  • Verify product testing power requirements and facility needs
  • Review and understand product test plans
  • Compile test results and complete test reports for submittal to customer
  • Verify proper equipment is used and calibrations are up to date

This is a full-time contingent opportunity. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Technical degree related to electrical engineering (open to entry level!)
  • Experience with, or ability to be trained in, NFPA 70E (training for electrical safety in the workplace)
  • Familiarity working with medium/high voltage equipment (300V DC, 480V 3 phase AC, arc flash level 2 protection)
  • Familiarity with NH Research equipment
  • Experience using wire bonders
  • Preferred skills:
    • Experience with data acquisition systems
    • Firm understanding of power fundamentals
    • Ability to read complex electrical diagrams and schematics
    • Ability to use common electrical tools to fabricate electrical devices
    • Experience with electrical research and development

Pay rate: $30.00 - 37.00 per hour. Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
