This position is in Region 5, Great Lakes National Program Office, Great Lakes Remediation and Restoration Branch, Remediation and Restoration Section 2. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing the activities of the organizational unit goals and objectives that integrate organization and program objectives for promoting effective operation of the organization. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to oversee work, ensure reasonable equity of performance standards, and resolve group grievances among employees promoting an environment for effective mission accomplishment. Represent the Agency with a variety of functional area organizations to explain policy and procedures, resolve significant problems, and determine appropriate actions of impact for establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships. Serve as a technical advisor and assistant to the Second-level supervisor on issues pertaining to the implementation of the Great Lakes Restoration initiative and the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement for environmental remediation.
