Roles And Responsibilities:

Plans, manages, and directs activities, operations and staff assigned to terminals and park & rides to ensure operational efficiency.

Oversees and manages activities operated directly by NJ TRANSIT and coordinates activities of third-party providers at locations not controlled by NJ TRANSIT.

Represents and coordinates with NJ TRANSIT departments, private bus carriers, and outside agencies on issues related to provision of bus service, quantity of service or facilities.

Prepares monthly report and daily oversight of the On Time Performance at the Terminal. Investigations and reports issues to bus garages for handling.

Assumes responsibility for financial oversight of ticket revenues sold by NJ TRANSIT and coordinates Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) repairs as needed with POS department. Troubleshoots routine problems involved in TOM's machines.

Provides coordination between the point of service delivery, control center, garages and service planning relative to service levels, trip level problem resolution and the provision of extra service.

Responsible for investigation and resolution of customer complaints originating in the terminals.

Acts as First step hearing officer in the Grievance procedure.

Creates and maintains schedule(s) for Agreement employees.

Education, Experience, And Qualifications:

Five (5) years of applied experience in bus transportation, to include experience in ticket sales, station starter procedures and terminal operations.

Prior supervisory experience desirable.

Knowledge And Skills:

Computer Skills necessary, proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word.

Experience in Kronos a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Interpersonal skills a must.

Ability to multitask and prioritize.
