Android Staff Engineer

We are looking for an Android Staff Engineer to be responsible for working with team leads and developers to produce client-side SDKs in the areas of video, authentication and privacy. These SDKs will be incorporated into the end user applications from our brands like CNN, TNT, Cartoon Network, March Madness, and many more. Your role will be responsible for designing and developing new features, collaborating with the team in design sessions and participating in agile ceremonies. The ideal candidate is expected to have a good mix of technical acumen and communication.

You'll sit side by side with both leadership and junior staff to iterate quickly to both launch new features and improve what we've already built.

You've got 7+ years of experience as an Android developer with 3+ years as an Android lead. You have extensive experience with Java/Kotlin. You have in-depth experience with one or more of the following: React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript. You've built native applications for Android and released them on Google Play Store. You're well-rounded with experience of web and mobile technologies. Demonstrated ability to work with client-side SDKs with video, analytics, and authentication. You use your great communication skills and attention to detail to ensure the delivery of exceptional products. Teamwork and a strong desire to learn new technologies are everyday requirements to succeed. You love challenges and your analytical perspective finds the problems others may miss. A track record of working in cross-functional teams to deliver quality features. Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes. Prior experience building and shipping SDKs is a nice to have. Bonus: Familiarity with AI tools like Github Copilot, Cursor etc.
