The Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing - Retail Channel is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive consumer engagement, brand awareness, and sales growth across retail channels. This role leads cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns, optimize the retail customer journey, and strengthen partnerships with key retail accounts.
Job Duties:
Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement consumer marketing strategies tailored to retail channels (e.g., home center, COOP, Mass, specialty, e-commerce).
Align marketing plans with overall business objectives and retail partner goals.
Lead annual planning and budgeting for retail marketing initiatives.
Campaign Development & Execution
Oversee the creation and execution of omnichannel marketing campaigns, including in-store promotions, digital activations, and co-branded initiatives.
Collaborate with creative, media, and analytics teams to ensure campaigns are compelling and data-driven.
Manage agency relationships and vendor contracts.
Retail Partner Collaboration
Serve as the primary marketing liaison for key retail partners.
Co-develop marketing programs with retail partners to drive sell-through and brand visibility.
Support sales teams with marketing tools, presentations, and promotional materials.
Consumer Insights & Analytics
Leverage consumer insights, market research, and retail data to inform strategy and optimize performance.
Track KPIs and ROI for all retail marketing initiatives and adjust tactics accordingly.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Travel:
10-25% travel required, including potential for international travel
You Must Have:
8+ years' experience in consumer marketing, demonstrating growth in scope and responsibility across brand strategy, campaign development, and customer engagement initiatives.
3+ years' of progressive experience demonstrating leadership capabilities, including increasing responsibility in team coordination, project ownership, or cross-functional collaboration.
Experience applying knowledge of retail dynamics, shopper behavior, and omnichannel marketing strategies to drive measurable outcomes.
Experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns and managing end-to-end projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes by coordinating cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders (internal and external).
Experience managing departmental or project budgets, including oversight of cost centers, tracking expenditures, and ensuring alignment with financial targets.
