Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Responsible for reviewing, interpreting and summarizing statistical data. Develop work instructions, standardized work, process flow, and process documentation to ensure the manufacturing process is being followed. Conduct product and packaging reviews to evaluate process impact and provide feedback on build sequence, process time analysis and investment requirements. Work closely with the operations team and production control team to optimize material flow and line layout. Perform line balancing activity to improve team efficiency and perform time analysis using a standard motion time system(MODAPTS), estimate production times, staffing requirements, and costs. Manage convention cost improvement activities and overall plant efficiency gains. Coordinate with the teams to determine and introduce optimum plant layout, equipment tooling and racking in general assembly to achieve maximum efficiency. Complete documentation of activities, develop and review production procedures.
Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience in any occupation involving a high-volume manufacturing operation. Experience must include working with 3D modeling software CATIA, Solid Works, and/or Creo; Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, and Lean Assembly Principles; Time Studies using MTM and/or MODAPTS; Human Ergonomics; Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly, and PLM; using Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 tools IoT, smart factories, and digital twins; and Robotic and Plant Simulations for new product introductions. Salary Range: $109,000-$120,000/yr.
