Sr. Design Engineer
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Design Engineer to support one of our largest federal clients in Wisconsin. The Sr Engineer designs functional, reliable, and cost-effective, heavy-duty vehicle components. Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design, and development of components into existing and new vehicles. Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design. Responsibilities include:
Perform engineering tasks and calculations, support senior engineers, and enforce standards for designs and drawings.
Manage projects or portions of projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety, and reliability requirements.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers; mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, proposals, layouts, specifications, and historical records for projects.
Analyze and resolve technical issues, optimize designs using analytical methods, select components/materials, and provide production support.
