Specialist Software Engineer

We are seeking an Specialist Software Engineer to join our customers Integration Team supporting the technology used by their Financial Advisor business users.

This role focuses on API-first development, third-party SaaS integrations, and modernization of legacy systems in a highly regulated financial services environment. You will design and implement scalable solutions that enable seamless connectivity between internal platforms and external vendor systems, driving innovation and efficiency for thousands of agents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS using modern .NET frameworks.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for third-party integrations and internal systems.
  • Collaborate with architecture teams and vendors to deliver API-first solutions.
  • Support integration of SaaS platforms and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in modernization efforts, migrating legacy applications to modern tech stacks.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and driving best practices.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand workflows and deliver solutions that improve agent productivity.
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with enterprise standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Strong experience in .NET development and REST API design.
    • Hands-on expertise with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge).
    • Proven ability to integrate third-party SaaS platforms.
    • Excellent communication and ability to interact with business teams.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Python for data processing.
    • Familiarity with Broadridge systems or regulated financial services.
    • Exposure to legacy systems and modernization strategies.
    • Prior lead or senior-level experience with initiative and accountability.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
