Unity is expanding its platform support to new classes of devices as well as ecosystems based on other 3D engines. To that end, we're establishing a new team, Platform Iteration, within the Platform organization. This team will evolve the architecture of simulation and play mode in the editor, and build innovative features using Unity's groundbreaking communication protocol, PolySpatial.
We're seeking an experienced people manager with a deep technical background to lead this team. The manager of this team will play a key role in setting the strategic direction of platform support at Unity and helping to define the future of spatial computing. The right person will attract and retain talented engineers, drive execution against a complex road map, collaborate with teams across Unity, and interact with our industry partners. Drive the execution and technical strategy of the team, as a manager and tech lead
Collaborate internally with core engineering, design, graphics, and networking teams
Communicate your team's vision and progress, internally and externally
Support your engineers as they advance in their career goals
Experience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team
A working knowledge of the internals of a high-end game engine, such as graphics, netcode, animation, script interpreters, and compilers
Experience as a software engineer and a working familiarity with C# and C++ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
