Software Engineer For The F-22 Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) Help Desk Team

You will be the Software Engineer for the F-22 Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS) Help Desk Team. Our team is responsible for supporting the F-22 IMIS administrators with the upkeep and usability of a variety of hardware and interfaces in the field. The IMIS product is the ground system for the F-22 aircraft providing capabilities for the ground crews to keep the pilots safe while flying the necessary missions for our nation's security.

As the Software Engineer your responsibilities will include:

  • Writing scripts, maintaining proper network configurations, maintaining security and working closely with the engineering staff allowing them to perform their development tasks on a variety of hardware and networks.
  • Frequent communication with the field administrators to resolve their issues
  • Performing detailed problem analysis of anomalies discovered from the engineers and other network administrators, document anomalies, and verify corrections when implemented
  • Interacting, planning and coordinating with multiple software development and data engineering/maintenance teams.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX Discover Fort Worth.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government Secret security clearance to start. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Linux administration: Hands-on experience with RHEL/Linux for day-to-day system tasks (users, permissions, services, patching, upgrades)
  • Windows knowledge: General familiarity with Windows desktops and troubleshooting
  • Virtualization: Experience with VMware or Hyper-V for basic VM management (provisioning, snapshots, basic troubleshooting)
  • Storage & Backup: Work with local storage and SAN/NAS; perform backups and restores
  • Networking basics: Understand TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and basic firewall troubleshooting
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve problems across servers, storage, and networks
  • Scripting knowledge: Able to read and understand Bash scripts; make minor modifications if needed
  • Perform documented daily, weekly system audit, backups, report checks, archiving.
  • Have a Security+ certification or ability to acquire within 6 months
  • Support data transfer from the file server/local product teams/contract partners to the field admins/customer

  • Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
  • Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
