HERE’s Product Publication team will work on a scrum team of energetic and dedicated engineers to develop large scale, distributed processes to construct Core Products used by major automotive manufacturers in navigation applications.

As a scrum team member, responsibilities span the entire software development process, and include:
Developing code following best practices
Peer reviewing and testing code changes by other team members
Identifying, investigating, analyzing, and correcting software defects
Gathering requirements and designing software components
Contributing to process improvements
Maintaining build, CI/CD tools, and DevOps process
You are a quick learner, with an eye for detail, strong problem-solving and debugging skills, along with the following:
1-2 years professional software experience
Experience writing Scala or Java 8+ with unit tests and Maven/sbt build tools
Expertise with object-oriented and functional programming paradigms
Strong understanding of data structures and time complexity
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Proficient English communication skills, both oral and written
If not already experienced with, you will have the opportunity to learn the following on the job:
Distributed computing using Apache Spark/Flink
3D/geographic coordinate systems and transformations
Container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
Cloud computing environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
Distributed source control systems, particularly Git

Working with micro-services and streaming data architecture

The expected base salary range for this position is $73,500 to $83,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience.
This position is also eligible for a target annual performance bonus, which is subject to company and individual performance.
