Software Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time early career Software Engineer in Boulder, Colorado on the NextGen Geo (NGG) OPIR Program. In this role, you will integrate into a small, high-performing Product Team led by a Scrum Master and Product Owner, support daily Scrum Meetings, Team Demos, and monthly Staff Calls. Work under very general supervision in support of larger team goals. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of software development activities will involve design, development, maintenance, and testing of code written primarily in C++. Be able to interpret complex system requirements. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require obtaining a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Aerospace, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Programming experience or relevant course work (C++/C, Java and/or Python)
• Experience developing maintainable code as well as performing unit, integration, and regression testing
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance

• Familiarity with Agile process
• Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Scripting skills
• Exposure to work high-stakes work environments & executing critical deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• TS/SCI clearance
• Self-driven, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software products

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,700 - $110,630. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
