Software Engineer
Location: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)
Duties:
Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Duties include:
- Design, develop and maintain Value Connect web solutions using React
- Develop, enhance and maintain analytical enrichments using Spark/Scala deployed to AWS/Azure cloud environments
- Enhance and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
- Help define and assess deliveries of healthcare claims data from clients
- Work closely with business teams to understand requirements and help produce software estimates
- Work closely with product architect to design and document platform
- Work closely with development managers to monitor open tasks, create technical specifications, help groom backlogged tasks to unblock and help other developers
- Participate in code reviews and provide guidance to other developers
- Help define testing strategies to assure accuracy of analysis
Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements:
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires five (5) years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the following:
- .Net based application using C# programming language
- Full Stack technologies such as MVC, Web APIs, SQL Server, Javascript, and Angular JS/Angular2
- SharePoint applications using SharePoint Designer and SPServices library
Rate of pay: $145,018 - $191,520 per year
