Positional Summary:
Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems in conjunction with hardware product development.
Principal Accountabilities:
Codes well defined software modules.
Handles routine product development, support issues and customer interaction.
Uses accepted software tools and methods to test, debug and document applications.
Develops small to medium software applications and utilities.
Receives detailed instructions on all assignments and works on problems of limited scope.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, BSEE or equivalent combination of software development experience and relevant education (ex. AAS and 2 years).
Responsibility for Quality Procedures or Direct Product Quality:
Adheres to Universal Quality System policies and procedures and uses Total Cycle Time principles and standard problem solving tools to continuously improve work processes.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to access and manipulate various objects, tools, or controls.
Ability to use a computer on a frequent basis.
Ability to understand and interpret detailed documents and drawings.
Must be able to communicate clearly with fellow colleagues and in giving presentations.
The ability to travel to customer sites or technical conferences may occasionally be required.
